ROLE DESCRIPTION: 

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

JOB OUTLINE:

The Development Manager is entrusted with leading and overseeing the
efficient and quality management of all CISE projects in alignment
with strategic goals. This role involves developing an annual
strategic plan and outlining resourcing, fundraising, and development
efforts for the organisation. The Development Manager plays a central
role in strategising, planning, and executing a supportive framework
for each project, ensuring successful initiation, execution, and
completion. They are responsible for maintaining project scope,
timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* The successful applicant will have the following essential
requirements.
* Education to National Degree standard.
* Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of CISE’s ethos and
approach to Employability pathways and experience with leadership
within the Community development ,training and Disability sector
engaging with marginalised groups.
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience of collaborating with persons
with a disability and planning employability pathways interventions in
order to achieve the best possible outcomes with the participants.
* Motivated to lead and support others and work with multiple
stakeholders.
* Car owner with full driving licence

ROLE DESCRIPTION : 

EMPLOYMENT MENTORS X 2 HORTICULTURE AND FOOD ENTERPRISE

JOB OUTLINE:

Two part-time positions are currently being advertised, both dedicated
to the facilitation of employment support for self-determining adults
through mentoring and upskilling within the domains of horticulture
and food enterprise. These roles encompass the provision of a
comprehensive range of employability supports, designed to empower
participants in charting personalised pathways to employment and
fostering personal development through participation in job readiness
programs. The specific responsibilities associated with these
positions include:

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT:

Engaging in the development of social enterprises within either the
horticulture or food enterprise sectors. This involves:

* Co-designing Individualised Pathways to Employment:

Collaborating closely with participants to co-design and tailor
individualised pathways to employment. This entails a nuanced
approach, wherein the unique skills, interests, and aspirations of
each participant are taken into careful consideration during the
formulation of their employment plans.

* Setting Key Objectives:

Establishing clear and measurable objectives for participants,
encompassing both employment and personal development goals. These
objectives serve as a roadmap, guiding participants towards
self-sufficiency and success in their chosen endeavors.

* Implementing Mentoring Strategies:

Executing mentoring strategies specifically tailored to the learning
style and pace of each participant. This requires a nuanced
understanding of the diverse needs of the individuals involved,
ensuring that the mentoring approach adopted is most effective in
their unique circumstances.

* Achieving Positive Outcomes:

The overarching aim of these roles is to achieve positive outcomes for
participants, including successful employment placements, skill
development, and personal growth. Regular monitoring of progress and
the flexible adjustment of strategies are integral to ensuring the
realisation of positive and impactful results.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Co-design participants' pathways based on initial job readiness plans.

Develop key objectives and mentor participants, ensuring positive
outcomes through career mapping, job-shadowing, job placements,
employment preparation modules, CV planning, and interview techniques.

Engage participants in various programs and experiential learning,
teaching specific skills in a creative and person-centred manner.

Identify and coordinate the participant's position on the
Employability continuum, applying recruitment and selection strategies
to maximize progress toward employment.

Keep accurate reports on program progress using daily, weekly, and
monthly performance templates.

Prepare and present written and verbal reports as requested to the
Development Manager.

Adhere to the CISE code of conduct, policies, procedures, and values
always.

SKILLSET AND ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

* Good references with a track record of similar experience (3
years).
* Third-level qualification.
* Extensive experience in Horticulture or the Food sector (3 years).
* Experience in enterprise development.
* Demonstrable experience working with unemployed, or individuals
disadvantaged/furthest removed from the labour market.
* Ambitious with a focus on meeting program goals.
* Ability to work independently or within a team setting.
* Experience working with external stakeholders, including those
with communication support needs.
* Experience in assessment/action planning, structured teaching
methodologies, implementation of SMART goals, and strong interpersonal
skills.
* Experience and ability to use various Microsoft Office programs
(Word, Excel, and Outlook).
* Ability to motivate others, accompany the learning process, and
understand emerging capacities and pace of learning.
* Respectful and ethical approach in all communications.
* Excellent work attitude and understanding of leadership through
respectful example and motivation.
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes or
ability to demonstrate an alternative method of fulfilling any
travel-related duties of the role.
